Core Values

To Know Christ and to Make Him Known

Pastor’s Core Values in Ministry

1. Committed to the Inerrant Word of God and Expository Preaching

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Tim 3:16 – 17)

2. Committed to the Great Commandment

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. (Luke 10:27)

3. Committed to the Great Commission – Evangelism, Missions and Discipleship Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matt 28:19-20)

4. Committed to Corporate, Individual and Intercessory Prayer

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also it is with you (2 Thess 3:1) They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.     (Acts 2:42-47)

5. Committed to Equipping the Church for Effective Ministry

Ephesians 4:11-15 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us (Roman 12:4-8)

6. Committed to Joyfully and Authentically Worshipping God

PRAISE the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! I will praise the LORD while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. (Psalm 146:1-2) Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. (PSALM 150:6) Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before Jehovah our Maker. (Psalm 95:6)

7. Committed to Encouraging and Edifying the Body of Christ

But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. (Hebrews 3:12-13)

8. Committed to Equipping Families and the Next Generation

But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them; and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus (2 Tim 3:13-15)
